Is all the shooting to keep the midges off? I spotted that pond and damp looking grass. Think it will cause probs in the warmer evenings? --Del 11:36, 14 May 2011 (BST)
Possible, but I haven't encountered a midge here yet. This may be because it's open in aspect and on top of the mountain (rather than an enclosed or wooded area). The 'pond' is nearly dried out now. It's basically a flat, slightly sloping, rock floor with water ponding against the side wall in winter, the vegetation makes it look like it has some depth to it. --Alan rosier 20:58, 14 May 2011 (BST)
