Does anyone know which one is the sea level solo/traverse? --Del 18:59, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Its not a recorded one, probably because you could do one on each horizontal break. BTW I and most users have a max screen width of 800 px.--Alan rosier 21:04, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Okey doky. No probs on pic size. You seem to do a good job with the artistic side of thing anyhow Alan. Feel free to move them about to your hearts content. I'd just do a shite job. --Del 21:12, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

The most common horizontal res. seems to be 1024 . See Talk:Contents --82.7.192.163 22:46, 30 June 2009 (UTC) (aka Tim Hoddy)

Hi Tim, yeah, you're right, thats the whole screen, I meant the wiki page width. Del, you seem to have a pretty good eye to me. ;-)--Alan rosier 05:45, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

BTW Del, I noticed you hadn't put a copyright tag on your nash picture. Did you know that copyright is automatic and you are not required to tag your work? Save you some time maybe.--Alan rosier 06:08, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Yeah I know. I'm putting it on so that other people (not going to mention names!) don't steal my pictures and make their own guide with them. They are for here only. --Del 07:52, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

You may find that putting 'copyright SWMC' will carry more clout than your name. After all, would you pursue a copyright infringement yourself? It's much more likely that the SWMC would fire off a nasty letter if someone pinched something. Probably needs to be clarifies by the Committee. Anyone who adds stuff to the wiki should understand that the SWMC owns the copyright as stated at the bottom of each page...

Not so sure about that Tim. I suggest that the intellectual / artistic material is property of the authors in person, unless specifically commissioned by the SWMC. For example, piccies from non-members (or members)submitted here does not make them SWMC property. Make sense.?--81.156.224.82 14:29, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

I think that this could cause problems if someone got "narked" and insisted on removing all of their edits. Why not let users submit info on the basis that they are indeed surrendering copyright to SWMC? Submissions to Wikipedia are made in this way. Perhaps we need to take some advice on this. --62.56.51.76 23:05, 1 July 2009 (UTC) Tim Hoddy

Interesting, certainly loss of intellectual or artistic property rights to their own material would stop some people submitting or allowing their pictures to be used. When things eventually go to the printers a shared copyright is implied so why not try that with the wiki? --Alan rosier 07:42, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Is it feasible to publish (i.e. print) when the copyright situation is unclear? Or even if it is a "shared copyright"? But you are right, surrendering rights to their own work may make some people reluctant to submit at all. --62.56.51.76 08:00, 2 July 2009 (UTC) Tim Hoddy

Well my situation is that I have no problems what-so-ever with the SWMC club using my pics (I can put this in writing if needed). I DO, however, have problem with someone taking them without my permission. I learnt at uni you should 'C' everything you do ... just in case. If we need serious legal consultation my GF's sister is a lawyer and i'm sure would be happy to help. --Del 14:41, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Roy, we are missing a first ascent, can you advise? --Alan rosier 21:03, 28 January 2013 (GMT)
