north of brecon

I would prefer to see Powys, how does that sound?--Alan rosier 20:38, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

sounds better... --Tim Hoddy 21:14, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Err. How about Ceredigion then? Just to the north west of Ponterwyd by the looks of it  ;-) --Alan rosier 14:34, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Dunno... just change it...! --81.103.57.2 16:08, 12 January 2010 (UTC) (Tim Hoddy)

Image Resolution

Like the big picture. Makes the links at the side appear like a menu. There is a problem with this tho'. If you change your monitor resolution to 1024x768 (lots of people have this), the links appear under the photo and it doesn't look good at all.

Can we have a climbing photo too? :) --Tim Hoddy 11:58, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

This is the breakdown of monitor resolutions of those visiting the SWMC website.

Also Alan, for the sake of demonstrating the way we can review versions of various pictures, I've uploaded a slightly different version of the Sirhowy picture. I added a gaussian blur overlay. If you don't like it, it's easy to revert to the original. --Tim Hoddy 13:11, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

I can see the colours look richer. I was just experimenting with changing the front page photo so that it looks like we are doing something (which we are). cHANGE IT AT WILL--Alan rosier 15:29, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Tim. What is a bounce rate ? --Chris Wyatt 20:27, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

It's the percentage of visitors to our site who, after looking at a page, go off and visit a page at another site without looking at any other pages on our site. Supposed to be a measure of dis-interest. --Tim Hoddy 20:40, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
This is probably more useful as we are more a news/information site than an advertising site.
BTW, these stats don't include either wiki nor BB "hits".

Interesting stats didn't notice these until now.--Alan rosier 18:51, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Out of interest where did these stats come from? The webby control panel or a third party app? The monitor res one is pretty definitive. --Del 19:59, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

The stats come from Google... --Tim Hoddy 20:23, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm suprised that belayer didn't get a slap in the chops--Alan rosier 10:14, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

An improved version of the above extension allows placing in a frame, positioning on the page and wiki-text descriptions. <video type="youtube" id="MmP3NdW9A0Y" width="270" height="203" desc="No Fat Gits Here!" frame="true" position="center" size="full" allowfullscreen="true"/>

Oh, just noticed a cascading protection tick box at the bottom of each page, save some time?--Alan rosier 10:31, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Where exactly? --Tim Hoddy 10:43, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Ok... I see it now... --Tim Hoddy 10:45, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Read this... [3]. I could do this using the Super Index. --Tim Hoddy 10:49, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

I did a route at Three Cliffs that was like that video on Mon. --Del 13:58, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

It's Shelob at Juniper wall if I'm not mistaken.--Alan rosier 21:57, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Hang on i'll check the guide ... cough ... urr Wiki. Nope it was called 'Under Milk Wood' Should be on all climbers/cavers tick list :) --Del 22:22, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

The video is Shelob at Paviland. The route at Three Cliffs is Under Milk Wood --Tim Hoddy 22:27, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Climbing Wall Section

Steve D has put in a listing of the local walls. I'm not sure this should come under bouldering but rather have a section in the contents page. What do peeps think?--80.4.12.121 19:55, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Its a good idea to have a listing of climbing walls, though I agree with you Chris. It should have its own section and not come under Bouldering. --Tim Hoddy 20:31, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
