Switching from indoors climbing to climbing outdoors can be somewhat daunting.

This meet, to be held at Boiler Slab,  aims to allow those members who have little (or even any) experience outdoors to acquire new skills from more experienced members before the start of the new rock-climbing season.

The emphasis will be on the informal sharing of skills and putting them into practise.

Amongst those skills we hope to cover are:

• anchors and belaying
• planning around tides
• general safety awareness at the crag
