For those of you that have yet to experience (or with limited experience) the pleasures and additional challenges of climbing in Pembrokeshire, then this weekend will be a good introduction.
The vast majority of venues require an absail into the bottom of big sea cliffs, where there is then the added spice of incoming tides and crashing waves. I would expect people to be able to comfortably second VS with some experience of leading. Pembs climbing is a much more committing and serious undertaking than the vast majority climbing we have here in South Wales.
As a change this year the plan is to head to North Pembrokeshire and the St Davids area. In this area some of the cliffs are not so high and much more accessible – great place to learn.
