What is the situation regarding bolting at Watch House (i.e. West as opposed to East)?

Who is asking?--Alan rosier 18:44, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Me. --Tim Hoddy 19:44, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Everyone(?) is happy; it was an awful trad crag, but a very good sports crag. In's and out's of the policy - can't comment. J.B.'s the man to talk to.--Alan rosier 10:06, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

The only thing that will make a few people unhappy is that it is contrary to the policy. Tim Hoddy

Just my 2p's worth. If it's not in the policy ... please don't do it (i.e. bolt it). There is plenty of scope for sports routes in S.Wales. --Del 17:12, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Well... there's something to be said for sticking to the policy simply because it is the policy". If the policy needs changing then change it. I'm sure a good case can be made for changing the policy in regard to Watch House.
What I believe the club should do is to encourage a climate of agreements amongst climbers and not the ethic of free-for-all. --Tim Hoddy 22:33, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Totally agree with Tim. This was discussed at the South Wales BMC meeting by the way. There are issues with 'Should I have to ask someone first if so who?' It was agreed however, that the latest sport climbing developments would be a standing item on BMC area meetings agenda.--193.62.88.7 10:03, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Are you saying that this crag was discussed specifically at SW BMC?

It's great that this discussion page is being used, however can we make sure that our comments are signatured - or they will be have to be removed.--Alan rosier 15:55, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

193.62.88.7 either hasn't got an account on the Wiki or has but hasn't logged on. --Tim Hoddy 18:10, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Sorry that was me - Chris - not logged on. In answer to the question, it was discussed as an example in a broader discussion about the bolting policy. --Chris Wyatt 18:14, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
