Talk:Penrhiwceiber Quarry

I've just spent the last few days teaching at Penguelan Primary in Penrhiwceiber and have to admit this place isn't anywhere near as bad as I expected. I'd like to add that the area, whilst still deeply in poverty, has improved quite a bit since the last guidebook... I'd say the main problem with it is that it's east facing and only gets the morning sun. The rubbish and sprouting veg could be cleaned up. --Del 18:33, 16 November 2010 (GMT)

I can't recall the quarry looking like this. Yes the obvious corner is on the left, but I thought it was more symmetrical and less broken. The used tyre cornice would suggest it is the right place though.--Alan rosier 13:02, 17 November 2010 (GMT)

It might be the wrong place in the photo? I've not been there prior. I remember asking Lyndsey/Gary/Haydn, all on separate occasions, whilst climbing with them at Mountain Ash and they all looked at me weird and said "don't go there" ... so I didn't. The one in the photo was deffo the most obvious quarry in 'Penrhiwceiber'. The photo was taken in the rain on a poor day. --Del 17:43, 17 November 2010 (GMT)
