BOLTING PROPOSALS FOR NEXT AREA MEETING SPRING 2013

Selected climbs at Abbey Buttress relying on fixed gear(old pegs)To whit Sign of the Times,PR Job,Urban Developement, others may be suggested after discussion.Will someone consult the first (free) ascentionist Martin Crocker for his views.

There is also a proposed crag clean up day(hacking a path to crag through the gorse)which could be tied up with any regearing. Matt Woodfield is the main man but if anyone has suitable tools to lend out or bring along let me know(petrol mega strimmers to chomp chunky gorse,bad boy secateurs etc)

We don't want to be spending all day hacking away with billhooks.Clearing a path to this crag would be a major service to local climbers.it's got some classic routes but getting to them is a major pain.Any one interested drop me a lineRoy thomas 22:50, 1 February 2013 (GMT)line

Roy, Alan and Chris... I suggest re-naming this page ready for the next BMC meeting as "Crag Maintenance" as that will, of course, include both bolting and clean-ups. And of course "Crag Maintenance" is a politically neutral term. --Tim Hoddy 10:09, 2 February 2013 (GMT)

Ok... I've done that. I think we need to re-organise that page a little because some things are resolved and don't need discussion at the next meeting. If I get time, I can upgrade to the latest mediawiki version and I can then look around for a suitable forum type extension. That may work better for us. --Tim Hoddy 08:42, 10 March 2013 (GMT)

Good idea so you would split it and have feedback/actions taken/things resolved in say 2012 section then things to be presented to Next Meeting 2013 in another section.

Page Maintenance & Tidying Up

Just wondering if we need to tidy up the page a bit?
