Talk:Bosco's Den Area
Have tried to avoid confusing reference to Boscoes DEN better to call it Boscoes Area then in text point out that the Den is banned. Under the old nomeclature a lot of people infer wrongly that this area is banned. The Den is the high cave in the back of the rift above a conglomerate ceiling of no interest to climbers unless they like wet, dark rock--Roy thomas 12:18, 27 January 2013 (GMT)
- After reading bmc regional acccess data note that !. Budgie ban only extends to the east side of the gulch so Bosco's Wall and Gulch have NO seasonal bans. Also as the wording stands what we climbers refer to as Bosco's Den is not mentioned in the total ban(archaelogical site) but wrongly it refers to the Cave which I suppose could tempt you to stop climbing in the cave and develope the DEN.I haven't changed the wording re the Den bans though.

Roy, all this sounds horrendously confusing. I admit to never visiting before but now I'm actually put off going. Could you illustrate with a sketch or photo showing whats what and whats banned and why? Al --Alan rosier 12:49, 28 January 2013 (GMT)
- Isn't just Bosco's Cave affected by the ban? That's what I understood Roy to mean. I've moved the brid graphic and BMC RAD link down to Bosco's Cave section. --Tim Hoddy 13:12, 28 January 2013 (GMT)
ALAN- not that confusing it just means you can go there ANYTIME(tides permitting) and do MOST of the climbing except for the few routes in Bosco's cave which has a seasonal budgie ban hence Tim moving the budgie sign to Bosco's Cave.
The BMC RAD is sloppily worded re the totally banned bit which is Bosco's Den in reality but which they refer to as "the cave"
Will see if I can dig out a photo maybe someone could get a longshot with a fancy lens from Bacon Hole if they go there to do the geared up 8b+ and 7b projects there. --Roy thomas 16:08, 28 January 2013 (GMT)
