An interesting spot comprising several quarries of soft friable slate looking rock (shale), excavated to build the large dam immediately below.
The rock is fairly solid above the road on "Hangover" and adjacent climbs (these few routes are good), but is pretty awful elsewhere.
The bolts, where present, look as though they were purchased as a multipack in Poundland and fixed in holes with toothpaste.
In general, the climbing is exciting, and would still be so even if it was bolted properly with lower offs.
