Around this time of year Westies like to arrange some informal practise sessions to allow new and old members members alike, beginners and those new to outdoors climbing, to share, acquire and develop some basic safety and rope skills.
The aim is to share ideas and help maintain a culture of thinking carefully about safety.
Amongst topics covered are: climbing in large groups, belaying, anchors, learning to lead, etc.
Sessions can be held on Wednesday evenings or, occasionally, at weekends.
Ask about these sessions on a Wednesday evening.
