I was lucky. Barland was always one of the most difficult places to get a good photo. It was usually in the shade and the dark coloured rock meant that it never looked good anyway. Also, it was difficult to get directly in front of the slab as there was a Great Big Hole (TM) there. Anyway, recently they've done some earth-shifting work there and created a rather nice 'photography platform' just in the right place from which to take a photo. Still I had to use 9 shots for the topo and stitched them with Hugin. --Tim Hoddy (talk) 19:11, 18 July 2014 (BST)
